The Audiowave Displays here concentrate on the audio tracks extracted from videos of butt whippings, particular those in which the boy is vocal in his reactions to the punishment. The accompanying video shows the audiowave timeline with the indicator moving along the horizontal axis with time. Viewers can see the sharp waves representing licks and the subsequent waves representing the boy's vocalizations. Focusing on the audio without the distraction from video, and displaying the active waveform chart, allows viewers to concentrate on the vocal reactions and ascertain patterns in them.

Topmen or punishers often like to hear their boy whimper, cry, sob, yell, bawl, howl, etc. Some vocalizations are verbal (i.e., expressed in words), such as begging, apologizing, counting licks, etc., while others are more primal -- like animal sounds. Whether verbal or not, vocalizations demonstrate, by their timbre as well as their content, the emotional reaction of the boy to the punishment on a real-time basis. In the scene, topmen may be stimulated by these sounds and also can use them to adjust the intensity, pace, etc as they apply the punishment.

In listening to these audio segments enhanced by the visual audiowaves, topmen attuned to this dimension may get vicarious sadistic enjoyment from hearing the boys' cries. The audiowave segments may also prove instructive to badboys, reminding them of what happens to badboys, providing a vehicle for identification and empathy in recognition that they could be receiving the punishment, and letting them know how much the licks hurt and how effective the punishment is.
